  • Use boxing gloves and shin guards with foot protection
While the Roundhouse offers excellent cushioning, we recommend to use boxing gloves and shin guards with foot protection at all times to minimize any risk of injury. The Roundhouse can protect you as much as it can, but in all reality, there is still a tree behind the kick pad and trees just don’t give in much. There is always a chance, depending on your skills and strength, that you will feel the hardness of nature through the padding. High quality Thailand-made boxing gloves and shin guards will be available by Honour & Glory shortly.

  • Tree selection
Tree circumference. For roundhouse high kicks (Jodan Mawashi-geri), we advise to not select a tree that is too thick. Make sure the head-piece wraps around the sides of the tree. We recommend finding a tree with a circumference of about 100cm (=width of about 30cm) …  minimum circumference of ..

  • Leave the bottom strap of the Roundhouse a bit loose. We recommend to not tie it too tight for better impact absorption.

  • Use the grey strap to tie it around a stomp or branch above head height to keep the Roundhouse in place vertically. Tying the top-strap really tight also helps significantly keeping the Roundhouse at the same height.

  • Cleaning
Wipe your roundhouse with a damp cloth after you are finished using it.
